| The Room is best known for its cameo in the ‘90s motion picture “Swingers” but has gone as they say in Southern California, “under the knife.” A must for any serious bar hopper on Cahuenga since 1993, The Room’s simple yet expanding renovations equates to now even more space for the casually-dressed Morrissey and Outkast listener to have a cocktail while keeping it on the low. Just like its sister location on the Westside in Santa Monica (also with the same name), The Room is dark – almost too dark – universally short on lighting from the open lounge seating by the small allocated dance space to a long prominent bar where phone numbers have been swapped since the Clinton days.
