| Get giddy boys and girls the circus is in town! Yay! Fear not the beaten down facade of this historic Fox Theatre, for within lay a playground for the pretty, rich and sweet of Tinsel Town. Lohan? Aguilera? Seacrest, DiCaprio and Rihanna? Oh-to-the-hells-yeah these A-listers know about the electro shows up in here. Pitching tent in July of 2009 on the world famous Boulevard, six million dollars was sunk into Playhouse and oh boy does it show. Gadget gurus are in awe of the Funktion-One sound system while Kanye West could only dream of reshooting his "Flashing Lights" video what with all the intelligent lighting and LED technology here. Taking clubbing over the top under this big top, bartenders in costume take drink orders only to spring into acrobatic routines and pole dancing right before our eyes! Featuring four bars to handle up to 750 hardcore fist pumpers, one of these watering holes holds fort upstairs in a lounge etched in corset body images and drowned with complimentary "A'Muse" shots for bottle service parties. Some say Playhouse is pure Vegas brought to Hollywood but with management being kingpins of nightlife in NYC and Miami, this show is a threesome of city influences. The "wear sunglasses at night" mindset of South Florida mixed with couture of the Big Apple and booming early morning sounds of Sin City - don't think we're in Cali anymore... |
