| The newest Barney's Beanery is certified blue & gold! Deep in Bruin country, Westwood, CA, students flashing a valid campus ID get permission to order off a menu of items only five bucks. Those hard working staff members and professors are rewarded with 15% off the bill! Barney's Beanery in general is the definitive chill sports bar, with college tees and Levi's as must to wear and a couple dollars to spend on beers starting at $2.50. Walking right in, the overwhelming Americana decor kicks in from the vinyl records and hubcaps tacked on the ceiling and walls, to a sly tribute to Detroit automotive by having barstools made from real car seats! Being in Westwood, UCLA football games and March Madness tournaments will attract many, many students and alumni to come root for their team. Dressed in jerseys and face paint, the pro-Bruin crowd can watch their team in style in the "Stadium Room" located upstairs. A few rows cascading downward in front of a giant projection screen, this is as close to being at the Rose Bowl without driving to Pasadena! Other quirky nooks and things to do include playing shuffleboard, beating the winter cold with a seat next to a communal fireplace and digging the hordes of USA license plates and franchise-standard motorcycles sporadically around the bar.
